Rock the Ride Napa Valley

Team Loeber recently participated in Rock the Ride Napa Valley, honoring the memories of Christine Loeber, Dr. Jennifer Golick, and Dr. Jennifer Gonzales Shushereba while supporting efforts to prevent gun violence and help those affected by it.

The weekend included a meaningful gathering at one of Christine’s favorite Napa spots, Saint Clair Brown Winery and Brewery, followed by the walk in Yountville with Team Loeber members Cindy Wood, Patty Yardley, Alydda Mangelsdorf, Michelle Silvia, and Michele Moore.

Although the event brought back difficult memories, it was also uplifting, hopeful, and a powerful reminder of the importance of community and positive change.

We are so grateful to everyone who participated and helped carry Christine’s legacy forward.

Smith Farms: Day of Kindness

This spring, board member Bob Botelho once again led the charge in rejuvenating Christine’s butterfly garden at Smith Farm in her hometown of Easton’s Borderland State Park. The garden is a tranquil place where people gather, reflect and participate in active therapy and self-healing throughout the year.  His efforts cleaning up the garden and planting flowers in Christine’s memory help make it extra welcoming and beautiful this time of year.

Thank you to Bob, Smith Farm staff, and everyone who keep this garden going year after year. We’re so grateful to have this spot to remember Christine and offer hope and healing to others.

Annual Fall Fellowship

The 2025 Fall Fellowship was a meaningful evening of remembrance as friends, family, and supporters gathered to honor Christine’s legacy.

Together, we raised a little over $9,500 to continue supporting the causes and organizations that reflect the compassion, kindness, and service Christine carried throughout her life.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, donated, bid on auction items, and helped make the evening so special.

Smith Farm’s Veterans Appreciation Day

The Christine M. Loeber Foundation was honored to serve as a $5,000 Premier Sponsor of Smith Farm’s 2025 Veterans Appreciation Day on September 27.

This annual gathering is a heartfelt celebration of service and resilience, bringing the community together to honor veterans and support healing through connection.

Leading up to the event, our board member Bob lovingly cared for Christine’s Garden at Smith Farm, ensuring it was a welcoming and meaningful space for all who attended.

Supporting this day is one way we carry forward Christine’s legacy of compassion and community, and we are grateful to Smith Farm for creating such an inspiring event.

Falmouth Road Race 2025

Our Christine Loeber Foundation team showed up with heart, grit, and big smiles – and together we made memories Christine would have absolutely loved.

Because of the amazing support from our community, family, and friends, we not only had a blast running but also raised $13,697 – our highest total yet!

Every step we took was in Christine’s honor, and every dollar raised helps us continue her legacy of kindness, service, and opportunity.

To our runners, donors, cheerleaders, and the Falmouth community: thank you. You made this day unforgettable.

A Touch of Sunshine at Christine’s Garden

In June, one of our board members paid a visit to the Memorial Butterfly Garden at Smith Farm, a place created in 2021 to honor Christine's memory and offer peace and solace to visitors, especially veterans participating in programs there.

“I left my house in the rain,” he shared. “The minute I arrived at the farm; the sun came out and it’s beautiful here.”

The garden, nestled in Christine’s favorite hometown park where she loved walking her dogs, is now freshly brightened with hardy annuals that will bloom all summer long. The purple flowers in the back attract hummingbirds, and there's even more beauty to come as the older plantings blossom in the weeks ahead.

We are so grateful to see Christine’s spirit live on in a place that continues to bring calm, comfort, and connection to others.

The Christine M. Loeber Foundation is proud to support the next generation of leaders through education and community service. This year, we are honored to award:

Gianna Earl: Recipient of the Oliver Ames High School Scholarship ($3,000) for her dedication to academic excellence, her spirit of kindness, and her devotion to helping others.

Colin Costello & Ben Newton: Recipients of the Smith Farm Volunteer Appreciation Scholarships ($1,000 each) in recognition of their many volunteer hours, reflecting their hard work and commitment to giving back through service.

We are so proud of these three outstanding students and can’t wait to see all they accomplish. None of this would be possible without the generosity and encouragement of our amazing supporters, so thank you for helping us make a difference in Christine’s memory!

Congratulations Justin!

Justin Stitt isn’t just a friend of the Foundation – he’s a beast! This past April 20th, 2025, Justin once again took on the incredible challenge of Tough Ruck 2025, a 26.2-mile march carrying a 30-pound ruck in honor of fallen service members, police, firefighters, and EMTs – including our beloved Christine.

Justin completed his third Tough Ruck in 7 hours and 15 minutes, proudly carrying his flag despite the strong winds. Along the way, he shared that he felt Christine pushing him through every step. One of his highlights was meeting the Gold Star wives and receiving his medal once again from Donna Brown – a truly special moment.

Thank you, Justin, for your dedication, strength, and heart. You honor our heroes in the most powerful way, and we’re so proud of you. Amazing job! 🇺🇸👏
