Our Mission: Keep her bright light shining

In the days and weeks after Christine’s death, people from all corners of her life referred to her as “a bright light,” a fitting description for someone with such a radiant smile. And so this memorial foundation makes it its mission to keep her causes alive and her bright light shining for years to come.

Her Causes Are Our Causes

Christine’s heart was as big as her smile. She spread joy wherever she went with her optimism, good cheer and kindness. In an effort to carry on that spirit, we have selected causes from different phases of her life that we think align with her passions and would spark that beautiful smile!

CMLF Supports Mentis

Christine’s legacy lives on in both the east coast where she was born and raised, but also on the west coast, where she impacted so many. The Foundation is excited to announce that Mentis, one of Napa’s oldest nonprofits, is our new west coast partner!

Dedicated to the emotional health and wellbeing of all Napa County residents, Mentis provides bilingual, accessible and affordable mental health services to people of all ages and income levels through programs ranging from prevention to treatment.

Mentis is one of Napa County’s oldest nonprofits, and provides a full scope of mental health services for people of all backgrounds. Mentis is a crucial part of the local mental health safety net: the only provider who serves individuals who are uninsured and the only agency that works with clients of all ages. Core programs are all offered in English and Spanish and include: outpatient mental health treatment for adults and youth, elder and care taker services., housing and residential treatment for adults with a history of chronic homelessness due to serious mental illness, and domestic violence and prevention services.

CMLF is supporting Mentis’ housing program, which offers an opportunity for those struggling with chronic mental health issues and homelessness get stable, permanent housing.

We know Christine would say, “this is great!”
